Interviews
This folder contains unedited audio interviews from May 2017, conducted by AAA Project Researcher Samina Iqbal with Salima Hashmi in Lahore, as well as its corresponding transcripts. These interviews span Salima Hashmi’s entire lifetime: her memories as a child growing up in pre-partition India, her education and experience, her career as an art educator during a time of political instability and Zia’s military rule, and her thoughts on how the Pakistani art scene responded to the international art world at the turn of the century.
