Bui Xuan Phai sketching a portrait of Phan Thi Thu Ha (an art student in Hanoi) at Vu Dan Tan's studio on 19 December 1984. Bui Xuan Phai (1920 - 1988) is one of the most well-known Vietnamese artists, particularly famous for his streets of Hanoi. Captured in the photo on the far right is Dang Duong Bang, a self-taught artist and friend of Vu Dan Tan who later become a Doctor of Microbiology in Denmark.
