Context
Canvas with official posters on one side was popular among Vietnamese artists at a time when art support is insufficient in Vietnam. These were sold at very low price at the governmental shops and were distributed to many offices. All paintings by Nghiem Xuan Binh for the exhibition 'Simple Stories' were made on the reverse sides of these canvasses.
