Photograph of Jed Escueta's Moon Nip (center) and Attempts at the Star-Shaped Smoke Ring (left & right). The works were included in the exhibition 'The Clear Light' curated by Roberto Chabet at MO_space from 2 - 31 October 2010. The other participating artists in the exhibition are Pardo de Leon and Jet Melencio.
Excerpt from the exhibition notes:
'Jed Escueta's series of photographs capture the heavens in the infinitely small and fleeting split-seconds: compacted ash from a pipe load, appearing as tiny celestial bodies and his shots at making the perfect smoke ring, in the shape of a star. Infinity is said to reside in these psychedelic-induced moments, which are often likened to the state when one attains liberation for the mind.'
