Context

'The Stars Exhibition' was one of the first unofficial exhibitions organised by artists after the end of the Cultural Revolution. It was risky to publish this report at that time for a state-approved magazine like Meishu. As a result, first-hand information about this seminal exhibition was able to be disseminated throughout China.

《星星美展》是文革後最早由藝術家自我組織的展覽之一。在當時的保守風氣中，栗憲庭冒著風險，第一時間在《美術》發表對這次展覽的報導，讓這次重要展覽的信息得以在全國傳播。
