Inland letter from Benodebehari Mukherjee to K.G. Subramanyan.

In this letter, Mukherjee talks about the preparation and his methodology for a mural project that he was embarking upon.

The letter, which is undated, is stamped '19 November 1969'.

Context

Artist Benodebehari Mukherjee (b.1904 – d.1980) is considered one of the pioneers of 20th century modern art in India. Having taught in Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan, he was the mentor and teacher of some stalwart artists including K.G Subramanyan. Because of the close relationship between Benodebehari Mukherjee and K.G Subramanyan over the years, the two artists continued exchanging through letters after K. G. Subramanyan left Santiniketan to teach at the Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in 1951.
