The work consisted of 16 pieces of self-portrait paintings by Gao Bo. Materials used in the painting include soil, gentian violet, traditional Chinese medicine, salt, and blood. From 1996 to 1998, Gao Bo displayed the work at different locations in the campus and residential area of Northwest Normal University.
