Tao Te Ching was realised on 7 June 2007 in Venice, Italy. During the performance, Yang Zhichao was lying on a table, while his collaborator covered Yang's entire body and face with soaked paper printed with selected texts from the Tao Te Ching, until Yang reached the verge of suffocation. The process lasted for 18 minutes. The performance took inspiration from a torture which was implemented in ancient China.
《道德經》于2007年6月7日在意大利威尼斯實施。楊志超躺在一張桌子上，由他的合作者將一張又一張印著《道德經》節選文字，并用水浸透的紙張覆蓋于其全身及面部，直至楊志超瀕臨窒息邊緣。過程持續18分鐘。該作品受古代中國的一種酷刑啟發。
