Original interview with Natasha Kraevskaia conducted in 2013 by Nora Taylor, Salon Natasha Archive Project Advisor.

Kraevskaia starts by discussing the beginnings of Salon Natasha as a home and studio which she shared with her husband, the late artist Vu Dan Tan. Salon Natasha soon became known as a joyful gathering place for artists and intellectuals, and subsequently expanded to become a platform for events and exhibitions (0:00:00 – 0:24:25). Kraevskaia goes on to examine the legacy Salon Natasha left behind and its contribution to the development of art in Vietnam (0:24:26 – 0:28:41). She recounts the events that were organised, and the materials collected in the process (0:28:42 – 0:46:29). She especially highlights the Crosscurrents and The Spirit of Hanoi projects. Most importantly, she addresses the significance of these projects to Salon Natasha as well as the Vietnamese art scene (0:46:30 – 1:06:53). At the conclusion of the interview, Kraevskaia explains the structure of the Salon Natasha Archive on Asia Art Archive's website and how she wants the materials to best represent Salon Natasha’s concept (1:06:54 – 1:14:08).
