A drawing from the Don Quixote and Sancho Panza Series by Vu Dan Tan presented at the exhibition 'My Favourite Characters'. The two fictional characters had been a recurring theme for Vu Dan Tan, for which he drew inspiration from Cervantes' novel. The artistic style of this series was influenced by Dali's images of Don Quixote. All the drawings were made on a notebook.
The exhibition 'My Favourite Characters' took place during 7-22 October 1995. It included works by Bui Xuan Phai (from Natasha's collection), Do Minh Tam, Eric Leroux, Mai Chi Thanh, Truong Tan, Tran Thieu Quang, Maritta Nurmi, Dinh Y Nhi, Tran Quang Huy, Le Hong Thai, Le Hong Thai, Le Tuan Anh, Tran Nguyen Hieu, Ngi Dinh Chuong, and Vu Dan Tan.
The works featured the artists' favourite characters from real-life, literature, or imagination.
