The back side of a fan produced by Vu Dan Tan, made of traditional handmade paper of a dark brown colour. Signed and dated by the artist.
In the 1990s, Vu Dan Tan started to experiment with media other than masks, as the artistic form has been appropriated to a mass-produced souvenir in the local gift shops. Vu Dan Tan was most interested in revitalising the used utilitarian items from household. Painted fans are also among the early collection of Salon Natasha.
