Contents:
1. Curriculum vitae.
2. Artist statement of the works intended to be presented in the exhibition.
3-4. Photographic works. The documentations were included in the portfolio prepared by Salon Natasha to raise funds for the second exhibition of 'Looking In'.
The project ‘Looking In’ was originally projected as a series of exhibitions by international artist whose works relate to Vietnam in various ways; either they were foreign artist who visited or lived in Vietnam, or they studied and experimented with Vietnamese art techniques such as lacquer paintings. The project aimed to explore the Vietnamese influence to foreign artistic practice, and to introduce to the locals such genuine interest from foreign artists so as to invigorate cultural exchange and interactions.
Following the well-received first exhibition, many other foreign artists contacted Salon Natasha to express their wish to join the project. Proposals, documentations, and artworks were sent to the Salon in preparation of the second ‘Looking In’ exhibitions. Yet, with limited space, manpower and funding, further exhibitions were deemed impossible for Salon Natasha.
