Display in Salon Natasha

A photograph of the interior of Salon Natasha taken during 1996-1999. On the wall are paintings by Le Hong Thai, Eric Leroux and Truong Tan (upper row, from left to right), Mai Chi Thanh and Nguyen Hong Xuong (lower row, from left to right).
The artists' clocks from the previous exhibition '12 O'clock' were also displayed. On the floor are the wooden sculptures by Nguyen Nhu Y, and Vu Dan Tan's floral installation made of metal cans and plastic bottles.

The interior of Salon Natasha had been constantly transformed by Vu Dan Tan. To give the Salon a varying ambience, the artist would change the position of the furniture, the display of art objects, and create site-specific installations. Vu Dan Tan attempted to make the Salon a space more than a gallery; he emphasised its unique and natural combination of a home, an artist’s studio, a venue for friends and art lovers to get together, and an exhibition space.
