Photograph of Roberto Chabet's solo exhibition, 'Ziggurat,' at West Gallery from 29 March - 23 April 2011.
The exhibition features Chabet's Ziggurat collages and drawings made from the 1970s to the 1980s. His collages from this period were made with whole sheets of paper taped side by side, or by placing one sheet on top of another. Also included are his new Ziggurat paintings, which use canvasses painted in primary colours and are arranged in configurations that correspond to the shape of ziggurats.
The exhibition is part of 'Roberto Chabet: Fifty Years,' a year-long series of exhibitions organised by King Kong Art Projects Unlimited in various venues in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila from 2011 - 2012.
