Yolanda Perez and Roberto Chabet's works in 'Snake Charmer', an exhibition Chabet curated at West Gallery from 28 October to 10 November 1994.
Chabet wrote, 'Incorporating household objects such as mirrors, tables, lamps, and shelves, the works explore the varieties of fluctuating realities that the commonplace objects undergo in the thinking, making, and perceiving of the art-object. The exhibition likens the transformative processes to the snake charmer's feat, all at once fraught with magic, peril and sheer ludicrousness.'
