Contemporary Art in the Philippines — Exhibition Brochure

Notes and brochure of the inaugural exhibition titled 'Contemporary Art in the Philippines' at the Contemporary Art Museum of the Philippines (CAMP) in October 1976.

The exhibition highlighted five themes: Background and Departures, Ambiguous Figuration, Contemporary Representation, New Abstraction, and Visual Proposition. The participating artists are Lee Aguinaldo, Ray Albano, Ang Kiukok, Augusto Albor, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz, Antonio Austria, Virgilio Aviado, Joe Bautista, Constancio Bernardo, benedicto Cabrera, Roberto Chabet, Victorio Edades, Mars Galang, Romulo Galicano, Rodolfo Gan, Nap Jamir II, Jose Joya, Yolanda Laudico, E. Laxa, Cesar Legaspi, M. de Leon, Arturo Luz, Mariano Madarang, Anita Magsaysay-Ho, Mauro Malang Santos, Johnny Manahan, Vicente Manansala, Ben Maramag, HR Ocampo, Romulo Olazo, Mario Parial, Butch Perez, Rodolfo Ragodon, Rodolfo Samonte, Alan Rivera, Nena Saguil, Romeo Tabuena, Hermenegildo Tecson, Eva Toledo, and Nestor Vinluan.
