Photograph of Roberto Chabet's marker on paper drawing, created in 1971, titled Ziggurat Drawing.
The drawing anticipates Chabet's Ziggurat collages from the late 1970s to the 1980s. His collages from this period were made with whole sheets of paper taped side by side, or with one sheet placed on top of another, in the shape of ziggurats.
The work was included in the exhibition, Ziggurat, at West Gallery from 29 March - 23 April 2011. The exhibition is part of Chabet: 50 Years, a year-long series of exhibitions organised by King Kong Art Projects Unlimited in various venues in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila from 2011 - 2012.
