A review on the display of the recent acquired paintings by Tingqua, the Canton paintings of the 19th century, by the Hong Kong Museum of Art. This show was described as timely as together with the recent publications and exhibitions of the masters in the period, the interest in and discussion of the whole scene in the arts in South China in the 19th century was renewed.
