Artist statement for Run Into a Wall When Enjoying the Landscape:
'The one who plays as a doctor is my mother, and I am the patient who she was examining. In this work, I wanted to reveal the emotional conflict between the mother and the daughter.'
作品〈看風景時遇到牆〉藝術家自述：
「在這個作品里，我要表現的是兩個人的情感衝突。對於我來說，做這個作品的過程比它呈現的結果還要重要。2010 年，在我身上發生了一個手術，至今我還是不能跟朋友和家人說出來，特別是我的母親。有一天，我嘗試用一種方式告訴她，於是就產生了這個作品。這個方式是，我讓她扮演一個錄像裡面的醫生，我扮演著一個病人。我待她去了幾個場景，給了她幾個道具，讓她自由表演她在空間里的感受。但從頭到尾我都沒說發生在我身上的那件事。她最後反而轉向她自己。這些場景與道具以及她的情不自禁的行為讓她想起她自己年輕時發生在她身上的一些痛苦的事情。」
