'This is my recent project M.V. series, which is about KALA OK — the most fashionable entertainment in China today. Pop music is a form which has been the most accepted, also the most misunderstood in culture exchanges. How would become an endless translation of original lyrics of Western and Chinese pop songs brought into both contexts? What makes me interested in is, when translated to Chinese and English through the automatic fast translation software (like many of the pirate CD, DVD, or most of the dual languages information in China today), and again used the same way to translate back to both languages, by their own right, the two different languages started a kind of communication without human interference…Though its misplacement, somehow the real meaning emerges from nowhere, in a darkly, funny misfire, to become perfectly absurd fitting the images…The scene of the street robbery was the court evidence from a police video tape.' (artist statement)
