Subramanyan delivered a talk titled 'An Illustrator's Point of View' at the University Grant Commission's (U.G.C.) seminar regarding Children's Literature. The seminar was organised by Department of Child Development, Faculty of Home Science, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in 1979.
The text was subsequently featured as an essay titled 'An Illustrator's View' in K.G. Subramanyan's The Magic of Making: Essays on Art and Culture, published by Seagull Books, Calcutta, India, in 2007.
