'Weather Report started in 1991, when Rienke Enghardt, a Dutch artist, set off on her first trip to Asia, visiting China, Hong Kong, Malaysia,Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. During her Journey, she made drawings which she then cut into four parts. Like postcards, the four fragments were sent to two Dutch artists and two Asian artists, whom she had met along the way. Each artist extended the received fragment, creating a new work of art the same size as the oiginal drawing by Enghardt...Through Weather Report, Enghardt has established a line of communication between different cultures.' - Helga Lasschuyt.
