Lee Wen (b.1957) is known for an artistic practice that interrogates stereotypical perceptions of culture and society, including his performance series Journey of a Yellow Man (1992-). He started the Independent Archive in 2012, a key component of his collaborative practice, which includes materials from the early 1990s onwards to capture development of time-based and event-specific art in Singapore and the wider region of East Asia. This presentation introduces the NTU CCA Singapore's Digital Resource Platform whioh contains over 20,000 digitalised files from the Independent Archive. Selected materials are organised into five chapters: 'Condition,' 'Body,' 'Absence,' 'Memory,' and 'Gestalt/Formation.'
