Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition entitled 'Beautiful Journey / Beautiful World' held in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong in 2008. As said by Tang Yingchi, Convener of the Art Container Project, 'We have chosen the containers and freight industry, which have an implication of connection, as a starting point of the project. A container is a functional object well known to the modern world. The concept of the project is to invite Hong Kong artists to paint their works on the containers, and in such a way, works of art can step out of traditional exhibition space and come closer to daily lives, the community and the public. Another layer of meaning of the project comes from the mobility of the containers. The containers, while loaded with the goods they are to carry, will also carry around the artworks created by our artists and the project's message of protecting the Earth.' Images of works in the catalogue are accompanied by artist statements. With curatorial statement by Stella Fong.
