Being an art educator, a leading painter and an advocate for modern Chinese painting, Liu Kuo-sung has made considerable contribution to the development of contemporary Chinese ink painting. This is the catalogue for Liu Kuo-sung’s solo exhibition in Hong Kong in 1973. It was presented as one of the programmes of the first Hong Kong Arts Festival. Paintings featured here were created during the period 1963-1973. The accompanying essay written by Tao Ho gives an introduction to the artist and his work. Information regarding awards received by Liu Kuo-sung and the collection of his work are also included.
