Painting Produced by Eric Leroux, Mai Chi Thanh and Do Minh Tam at the Concert of Le Trio D'Argent

A collaborative painting produced on stage at the concert of Le Trio d'Argent.

In 1995 and 1996 the artists from Salon Natasha conducted two ‘painting-performance’ during the concerts of Le Trio d’Argent, an instrumental music group of three French flautists who had been performing in Vietnam during 1993-1996. The engagement of the artists with the trio was conceptualised by Eric Leroux.
During the concert, artists would attempt to capture the musical expressions on a banner on stage. The artists would take turns as the piece passed from one verse to the other. The result was a collaborative visual perception of the musical performance.
The participating artists in the first painting-performance included: Eric Leroux, Mai Chi Thanh and Do Minh Tam.
The participating artists in the second painting-performance included: Eric Leroux, Le Hong Thai and Truong Tan.
