Birds of Paradise

Pacita Abad's painting titled Birds of Paradise. The work was included in the group exhibition '33 Artists,' curated by Roberto Chabet and Nilo Ilarde at The Pinaglabanan Galleries from 8 to 30 December 1984.

Excerpted from the press release:
'The exhibit covers a broad spectrum of contemporary Philippine art, with figurative and abstract paintings as well as sculpture. Participating artists range from the established such as Ang Kiukok, Romulo Olazo and Mauro Malang Santos, to the up and coming such as Santiago Bose and Fernando Modesto, to the virtually unknown but very promising like Dan Raralio, Popo San Pascual, Gerardo Tan, Peter de Guzman, Roderico Jose Daroy, and Teresa Balatbat. Also included are Gus Albor, Virgilio Aviado, Pacita Abad, Norma Belleza, Bert Antonio, Duddley Diaz, Yolanda Laudico, Al Manrique, Pablo Baens Santos, Nestor Vinluan, Antipas Delotavo, Junyee, Soler Santos, Danny Paz, Jaime de Guzman, Joe Bautista, RM de Leon, Raul Rodriguez, Steve Santos, Chu Pedrosa, and Pardo de Leon.'
